Serving our Afghan Brothers & Sisters: A Holistic Approach to Care for People in Crisis
As we are all very aware, the situation in Afghanistan has impacted the lives of Afghan people in heartbreaking and devastating ways. As a result, many individuals, churches, and other faith-based communities around the world are launching support initiatives for recently relocated Afghans who have just come out of war-torn Afghanistan. However, many are entering into these interactions with little to no equipping in how to holistically and restoratively care for people in crisis.
The Resilience Resource and Concilium are partnering together to provide information and resources for a holistic approach to care for people in crisis that considers basic physical needs, emotional processing, cognitive function, and spiritual foundation from a culturally integrated perspective.
Please join us for these topics as we discuss practical and effective tools that will help you and your community thrive with resilience as you provide care and support to those experiencing crisis and critical incidents.
Topics include:
*Security & Member Care Considerations
*Spiritual & Psychological First Aid Best Practices
*Cultural Context and Practical Application
In addition to resources for both you and those you will work with, there will be a time for Questions & Answers at the end of the session.
